Q: Who can apply to the mentorship program?
A: Women in the MedTech and medical device industries, at any stage in their careers, are welcome to apply.
Q: How are mentors and mentees matched?
A: We carefully match pairs based on specialty, role, location, and professional goals to foster meaningful relationships.
Q: How long is the program?
A: The program last 6 months, with our current cohort running from January to June 2025. Although the formal mentorship program will end in June, we encourage our mentors and mentees to continue their relationship indefinitely.
Q: How often do mentors and mentees meet?
A: Mentors and mentees meet for approximately one hour each month, but it is up to the mentee and mentor to set the schedule. Some do best meeting just once a month, and others prefer to have more frequent bi-weekly or weekly meetings with their mentor. The program is flexible, allowing pairs to meet via calls, Zoom, or in person, based on mutual availability.
Q: Are there networking opportunities beyond the mentorship program?
A: Yes, mentees and mentors have access to exclusive STRIPES events, allowing you to expand your professional network, as well as specific calls for all mentees and mentors to improve your mentorship skills and experience.
Q: Is there a cost to participate in the STRIPES Mentorship Program?
A: At STRIPES Women in MedTech, our goal is to empower women in the industry through meaningful mentorship that fosters personal and professional growth. To maintain the quality and value of this program, as outlined in the right column, we ask mentees to invest in their development with a tiered program fee based on career level. This investment not only supports the sustainability of the program but also reflects your commitment to your own growth.

We recognize that financial challenges can arise, so scholarships are available for those who are currently out of work or facing financial difficulties. Payment for program fees is not collected until after we connect you with a mentor, and you can let us know at that time if you require scholarship assistance.

A: Absolutely! We can provide the necessary details to help you secure approval from your employer and arrange for the program to be paid or expensed through your company's standard process.​
